Ms Pernille Dahler Kardel is currently Denmark’s ambassador to Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia. Ambassador Kardel has been active in International Diplomacy for more than 35 years and has held senior positions in the United Nations and the Danish Foreign Service. She has served as UN Under Secretary General and Acting UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, just as she has served as UN Assistant Secretary General in Afghanistan. She has held positions as Denmark’s ambassador to Egypt and Ethiopia and has been posted to Russia and India among others.
