Babis Bakolias works in Technology Partnerships and serves as Country Manager for Synopsys' site in Greece. Prior to Synopsys, and since 2010, Babis was General Manager at Helic S.A.— a Greek, US-headquartered R&D company developing simulation software for the global semiconductor market — which was acquired by Ansys in 2019. Earlier in his career, he held R&D and product development roles, both as a scientist and manager, in London, Cambridge, and Athens. Babis holds a BSc in Physics, an MSc in Optoelectronics from Queen’s University Belfast, a PhD in Machine Vision from Imperial College London, and an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
