Dr. Yorgos Koutsoyannopoulos is an entrepreneur, experienced executive leader and angel investor based in Northern California. From 2019 to 2025, he held vice president-level positions at Synopsys and Ansys, where he led corporate development and engineering. Prior to joining Ansys, he was the CEO of Helic, an enterprise software company that he established in 2000. In 2005, representing Helic, he became a cofounder of HETIA, later serving as chairman of its board of directors from 2007 to 2013. Dr. Koutsoyannopoulos earned both his diploma and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 1995 and 1999 respectively. He has also completed executive programs in leadership and marketing at Harvard Business School and London Business School.
