Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos is a finance professional and academic with a background in banking, investment finance, and economic policy across Greece and the UK. He has specialized in credit risk management, investment banking, and portfolio consolidation in emerging European markets. As CEO of Enterprise Greece, he leads the national agency for investment and trade promotion, strengthening Greece’s global economic presence. Previously, he played a key role in implementing Greece’s National Recovery and Resilience Fund – Greece 2.0, working with European institutions and national authorities to drive investment and growth. Beyond finance, he has served as an advisor to New Democracy’s Secretariat for International Relations & EU (2013–2019). He holds degrees from the University of Liverpool, City University London, and a PhD in Strategic Management from Brunel University London.
