Maja Turković is Executive Vice President at CWP Europe, where she plays a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and advancing the development of large-scale renewable energy projects across Southeast Europe. She brings extensive experience across policy, markets, and project development, contributing to CWP Europe’s long-term growth and regional leadership in renewables. She is recognized as one of the pioneers of wind energy development in Serbia, having been a co-owner and director of the country’s first large-scale wind power project. With more than twenty years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Maja combines public and private sector expertise, including senior roles in power utility restructuring, renewable energy policy, and project development. She previously served as Assistant Minister for the Power Sector at the Ministry of Energy of the Government of Serbia. In addition to her executive role, Maja is engaged in initiatives supporting education, inclusion, and the energy transition. She serves on the Board of the Pexim Foundation, co-founded the WISE SEE network for women in the energy sector, and contributes to regional energy transition initiatives through SE3T.net. Maja holds a Master’s degree in Power Systems from the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Imperial College London Business School.
