Giannis Sarris was born on June 3, 1983, and raised in Kavala. He is a graduate of the Department of Accounting at the TEI of Kavala and holds a Master’s degree in Modeling of Computational Applications in Natural Sciences from the University of Kavala. Since 2012, he has been active as an independent professional with a strong presence in the local market. Parallel to his business career, he has maintained a significant role in the fields of culture, sports, and commerce. He served as President of the "Pinelies Zois" Cultural Association of Nea Karya from 2010 to 2012, and from 2016 to 2025, he was an active member of the AEK Kavala Athletic Club.
His leadership in the commercial sector is marked by his tenure as Vice President of the Commercial Association of Kavala (2020–2023), while since 2022, he has served as the President of the Commercial Association of Nea Iraklitsa, Kavala. In 2025, he ran for the presidency of the Kavala Chamber of Commerce, securing a significant 44% of the vote.
Beyond his professional achievements, his social and volunteer contribution is equally noteworthy. In 2004, he served as a volunteer for the Athens Olympic Games, and he continues to participate actively in organizations such as the Autism Association of Kavala and the Cancer Patients Association of Kavala.
