Chrisis Pantelides was born in January 1975, originates from occupied Famagusta, grew up in Paralimni, and has been residing in Nicosia for the last 26 years. After completing his military service, he studied Physics and holds a degree in Sociology. He has served as an executive member of ANAGENNISI (Renaissance), NEDIK (New Democratic Youth Organization), and the Democratic Party (DIKO), consistently serving in all their collective bodies over time. From 2003 to 2008, he served as Special Advisor and Director of the Office of the President of the Republic, Tassos Papadopoulos, with additional duties coordinating the implementation of the pre-election program and monitoring government work. From 2010 to 2021, he worked as Executive Director of the Tassos Papadopoulos Centre for Studies. In May 2021, he was elected Member of Parliament for Nicosia with the Democratic Party. He serves as Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committees on Finance and State Control (Audits) and is a Member of the Parliamentary Committees on Foreign and European Affairs, and on Energy, Commerce, Industry, and Tourism. Additionally, he is a member of the Cypriot House of Representatives delegation to the Parliamentary Conference on Stability, Economic Coordination and Governance in the European Union, and to the Conference on the Future of Europe. He has participated in meetings of the Conference of the European Affairs Parliamentary Committees of the Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC), as well as in conferences on Energy, Migration, and combating Antisemitism. Furthermore, he is a member of the Steering Committee of the interparliamentary institution Open European Dialogue.
