Iossif Parsalis is a tourism and destination strategy expert with more than two decades of experience in tourism development, branding and destination marketing. He was the founding Managing Director of Marketing Greece, an organisation established by the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) to promote Greece globally, where he led the development of the international digital platform DiscoverGreece.com and initiatives that helped position Greece and Athens among Europe’s leading travel destinations. As Group Brand Strategy Director of Sani/Ikos Group, he established the brand marketing function and supported the international growth of the group’s hospitality brands. From 2021 to 2024 he served as CEO of New Metropolitan Attica SA, the development organisation of the Region of Attica, leading major strategic initiatives including the establishment of the Attica Destination Management & Marketing Organisation (DMMO) and a portfolio of development and innovation projects. Today he works as an independent advisor in destination strategy, supporting regions, destinations and tourism organisations in designing sustainable tourism strategies and growth frameworks.
