Constantinos Saravakos is Head of Research at the KEFIM (Center for Liberal Studies) and a PhD Candidate in the Department of International and European Studies at the University of Macedonia. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Sociology (with distinction) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He also also holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and Management from Panteion University and a Bachelor’s degree in History and Philosophy of Science. He serves as a country expert for the Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) project at the University of Gothenburg and for the Rule of Law Index of the World Justice Project. He is also a visiting researcher at the European Policy Information Center (EPICENTER) in Brussels, and research associate at the Laboratory for political and lnstitutional Theory and the History of ldeas at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research interests focus on political and economic institutions, including liberal democracy, political parties, populism and political behaviour, as well as regulatory policy, better regulation, and political economy.
