Dominik P. Jankowski is an international security expert, diplomat, and think-tanker with over 15 years of professional experience. He currently serves as Deputy Secretary General for Policy and Outreach at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Prior to joining the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in 2025 as Director of the Economics and Security Committee (ESC), he served in national and international functions at NATO HQ. From 2018 to 2022, he worked as Political Advisor and Head of the Political Section at the Permanent Delegation of Poland to NATO. Later he served as Policy Adviser in the Office of the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg (2023-2024) as well as Deputy Permanent Representative of Poland to NATO (2024-2025). He was elected by Allies as Vice-Chair of the NATO Energy Planning Group which is responsible for the oversight of resilient energy supplies. He was also a member of the European Economic Security Taskforce led by RUSI (2024-2025). Prior to working at NATO HQ, Dominik has held numerous international security related roles within public administration (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Security Bureau) and the military (General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces), including those related to the EU, NATO, OSCE, and arms control policy. Dominik completed his doctoral studies at the Warsaw School of Economics from which he also holds his MA in economics. He graduated from the War Studies University in Warsaw (2010) and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna (2009). He has held several prestigious fellowships, including at the Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA Fellow), the Center for European Policy Analysis (James S. Denton Transatlantic Fellow), the German Marshall Fund (Marshall Memorial Fellow), the Atlantic Council, the ZEIT Foundation Bucerius, the Munich Security Conference-Körber Foundation (Munich Young Leader), and the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Dominik has been regularly teaching courses, including at the Baltic Defence College in Tartu, the Brussels School of Governance, the College of Europe in Natolin (Visiting Professor), the National School of Public Administration in Warsaw, the Rzeszow University of Technology, and the Warsaw School of Economics. He has delivered lectures in the framework of the NATO Professional Development Programmes for Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. He is also a mentor at the NATO Mentoring Programme. Dominik is a prolific writer with over 250 publications which have appeared in 20 countries.
