Vasilis Xypolytas was born in 1981 and raised in Kifisia, one of the most historic and environmentally significant municipalities in the northern suburbs of Athens. He holds academic qualifications in Management, Environmental Management, and European Studies from Coventry Business School, Harvard University, and King’s College London. He has developed professional experience across both the private and public sectors. Notably, he served as Executive Vice President of the National Emergency Aid Center (EKAB) and later as President of OSY S.A., where he contributed to strengthening essential public services. With a long-standing presence in local government, he served for several years as Municipal Councilor of Kifisia before being elected Mayor in 2023. Since assuming office on January 1, 2024, he has focused on promoting modernization, transparency, environmental stewardship, and improving the quality of life for local residents. He also serves as President of the Penteli Mountain Protection and Development Association (SPAP).
