Dr. Kyriacos Sabatakakis is the Country Managing Director of Accenture in Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria with additional responsibilities for the Central & Eastern Europe telecommunications markets, leading a team of more than 3,500 Consultants. Accenture’s operations in Greece and Bulgaria include two technology hubs of European scope and reach, as well as the company’s only global Center of Excellence for Data & AI in Europe. He has held this position since September 2003, having led multiple complex projects in Greece and abroad in the fields of strategy, innovation, business and digital transformation, and technology for major corporations and organizations. Since 2017, he has curated a series of studies in Greece aimed at mapping the country’s position in the global business and technology landscape, actively contributing to the national dialogue on the forces shaping our era. As part of this effort, he has actively supported the High-Level Advisory Committee on Artificial Intelligence, with the goal of shaping a national blueprint for leveraging AI’s potential. Additionally, from 2003 to 2008, he was globally responsible at Accenture for consulting services in mobile network operations. He has also worked for several years at Andersen Consulting in Zurich, as well as in high-tech companies in Switzerland. He has an extensive presence across a broad range of organizations and institutions. He has been a Board member of AmCham, IOBE and the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), where he also holds the position of co-Chair of its Technology Committee. He is an Electrical Engineer, having graduated from Yale University, Dartmouth College, and the National Technical University of Athens.
