Theodoros Karoutzos, born in Kalamata and based in Athens, is a holder of an MBA in Health Management and has been active in Primary Health Care since 1998. In 2006 he assumed the position of General Manager of Affidea Greece and since 2012 he has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, leading the Group to steady growth and strategic transformation. A member of Senior Executives Association of Enterprises (EASE) and an executive with international experience, he has linked his name with the expansion of the network, the acceleration of acquisitions, the creation of new jobs and the establishment of Affidea’s excellent reputation in Greece. During his tenure, the first Center of Excellence in Neurology of Affidea in Europe was inaugurated, while the development of numerous dermatology clinics nationwide substantially diversified the Group’s footprint, now offering holistic healthcare. The company implements a multi-level corporate social responsibility program, having as main pillars the respect and support for people. Under his leadership, Affidea stands out at the Healthcare Business Awards with Gold Awards and for five consecutive years is declared as a “Diamond of the Greek Economy.” The European distinctions for patient safety confirm his commitment to innovation, clinical excellence and the provision of quality medical services for all.
