Afroditi Xydi is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Deon Policy Institute - the first Hellenic Diaspora Think Tank that aims to transfer best practices from around the world to Greece through data-driven, evidence-based and actionable policy recommendations. In the three years since its founding 17 of the Institute's recommendations have been implemented. Afroditi started her career as a management consultant in the Middle East, where she worked in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and countries in Africa, drafting government policies, structuring infrastructure investments, and drafting strategies for private companies. She also has extensive experience in the climate space having worked for deep tech and software startups in the space. She holds a BSc. from Johns Hopkins University and an M Eng. from MIT - both in Environmental Engineering, as well an MBA from Harvard Business School.
