Giannis SKIADARESIS

Mr. Giannis Skiadaresis is currently the Area Coordinator for Disaster Resilient Societies (DRS) in the Unit on Innovation and Strategic Autonomy of the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) of the European Commission. He holds an MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Europe in Bruges, where he was a laureate of the ENP-EU scholarship awarded by the European Commission. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Programme of Harvard Kennedy School and the Strategic Innovation Programme of the University of Oxford. Mr. Skiadaresis has worked in various posts within European Commission and the private sector previosuly. His professional experience spans industrial policy, foresight, new technologies and innovation, international relations, security and defence policy, and business development. He was also part of the drafting teams of the Niinistö Report, the Preparedness Union Strategy, and the ProtectEU Strategy, contributing more broadly to EU foreign policy, security and defence, innovation, and industrial development initiatives.
