 Serb Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović was born on 4 March 1967 in Teslić, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Banja Luka, and completed her specialist studies in the field of diplomatic and consular law at the Faculty of Law, University of Banja Luka, defending her final thesis on the topic "The International and Legal Position of the European Union". Since February 2006, she served as an Advisor to the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska for European integration and cooperation with international organizations, after which she was appointed Head of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska. She headed the Coordination and European Integration Unit in the Republika Srpska Government and was an expert member of the Committee for European Integration and Regional Cooperation of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. In December 2010, she was elected Minister for Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation in the Republika Srpska Government. In March 2013, she was elected Prime Minister of Republika Srpska as the first woman to hold that position. She was re-elected in December 2014. In the 2018 General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, she was elected President of Republika Srpska. In the 2022 General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, she was elected Serb Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is married and a mother of two children.
