Ioannis Georgopoulos was born in Agios Adrianos, Nafplio, and holds a degree in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He served for many years with the Hellenic Post (ELTA), holding the positions of Director of the Kranidi and Ermioni Post Offices and Inspector for the Regions of Peloponnese, Western Greece, and the Ionian Islands. He has extensive expertise in organizational management, local government administration, management, and finance. He has served as a Prefectural Councillor of Argolis, a Regional Councillor of the Peloponnese, and a Municipal Councillor of the former Municipality of Kranidi. Since 2019, he has served as Mayor of the Municipality of Ermionida, focusing on sustainable development, innovation, and the modernization of local government.
