Αgapi Sbokou President SETE, CEO of PHĀEA Agapi Sbokou is the CEO of PHĀEA, a leading hospitality company in Greece with over 50 years of presence. The company currently operates four resorts in Crete and is in a phase of dynamic growth, with another three new developments underway. With a strong background in tourism and business, she has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth. Through her expertise in product development and hotel operations, she combines strategic vision with operational excellence and innovative approach. She leads the company’s strategic transformation, accelerating its evolution and repositioning its portfolio towards a modern, high-end hospitality model. With a strong focus on sustainability and long-term value creation, she continues to steer PHĀEA toward a more outward-looking and internationally competitive footprint. Agapi actively contributes to shaping the future of Greek tourism through her long involvement in various Greek Tourism bodies. Since May 2026, she serves as the elected President of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), the institutional partner of the Greek Government for Tourism. She is President of the Institute of SETE (INSETE) and of Marketing Greece. She has previously served on international advisory boards, including the Starwood EAME Resort Advisory Board and the Marriott EAME Distribution Advisory Board, and has been a member of the board of the Hellenic Initiative Against Alzheimer’s Disease (HIAAD) since its establishment. Before focusing on tourism, she worked at Dryllerakis Law Firm and at ETEVA, NBG’s Investment arm;she holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, an MBA from City Business School, and speaks 3 foreign languages. She is married to Costis Zombanakis, and they have two children.
