Nikolaos Philippas is Professor of Finance in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Piraeus and Founder and Chairman of the Hellenic Financial Literacy Institute. Among other leadership roles, he has served as Chairman and Scientific Director of the Centre of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE). His academic and research interests include investments, behavioural finance and financial literacy. His research explores, among other topics, the relationship between financial literacy and financial well-being, as well as investor behaviour and financial decision-making, and has been published in international peer-reviewed journals. He has authored financial education books, including publications for children, and actively promotes initiatives that bring financial knowledge into everyday life. Through the Hellenic Financial Literacy Institute, which he founded in 2016, he combines academic research, educational programmes and collaborations with financial institutions and other organisations to help people make informed financial decisions throughout their lives.
