Lazaros Papagaryfallou is the Deputy CEO of Alpha Bank since July 2024, and an Executive Member of the Board of Directors since February 2025. As Deputy CEO, Lazaros plays a key role in defining and executing Alpha Bank’s strategy and holds responsibility for the International activities, Finance & Investor Relations, Digital and Technology, Operations, Economic Research, Real Estate as well as key strategic initiatives. With circa 30 years of experience in the banking industry, Lazaros has held several senior positions at Alpha Bank including becoming the bank CFO in 2019, a role for which he has been voted by Extel as Best CFO in the region in multiple occasions. Throughout his tenure, he has strengthened the Bank’s position by leading the implementation of the Group's Restructuring Plan, divesting non-core assets, and driving transformational projects and strategic initiatives. He is the Chairman of the Board for Alpha Life and has served as Member of the Executive Committee of the Hellenic Banking and as President of HBA’s CFOs Committee. He holds an MBA from the University of Wales, Cardiff Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration from the Economic University of Athens
