Photini Pazartzis is Professor at the Faculty of Law, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and Director of the Athens Public International Law Center of the Faculty. She is Chair of the United Nations Human Rights Committee (ICCPR), of which she has been a member since 2015 and currently in her second mandate. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Athens and her graduate studies at the University of Paris-II Panthéon Assas, from where she was awarded a Doctorat d’Etat in Public International Law (1991). She is member of the Board of the European Society of International Law and former President (2019-2021). She has been Visiting Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law and Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, and has lectured at several universities and academic institutions, including the Universities of Paris-I, Paris-II, the European University Institute (Florence), the Xiamen Academy of International Law, the Hague Academy of International Law, the Singapore Academy of International Law, the European Institute of Public Administration (Maastricht).
