Elena is a leading strategist on culture, creativity and innovation with more than 20 years of professional experience. Since July 2019, she is the Advisor on Arts and Culture to the office of the Prime Minister of Greece, collaborating closely with the General Secretariat of the Government, the Foresight Team and UNESCO. She started her career at the European Business Development Department of Sotheby’s Auctioneers in London UK and later at the Onassis Foundation in Athens GR as Head for Grants and Public Benefit Projects. In 2014, based in Athens, she worked for the creation of an international network for the creative economy, acting as a facilitator and advocate for the support of the cultural and creative industries in Greece. Her experience includes leading and advising roles in programs related to the access to employment, entrepreneurship and cultural integration for migrants and vulnerable communities. She is highly interested in the social impact of arts and culture, and in the major changes in the way we live, work and co-create.
