Ryan Dowdy spearheads technical analyses for GFI’s Science & Technology department and oversees SciTech’s Sector & Ecosystem Analysis Leads (SEAL), working to ensure that GFI publishes game-changing thought leadership that moves the alternative protein field forward. Areas of Expertise: food science, fermentation, technical analyses, forecasting and modeling, public speaking, data science. Ryan has a doctorate in food science from the University of California Davis with an emphasis in biotechnology. Prior to joining GFI in 2021, Ryan managed the Food System for NASA’s International Space Station. He believes in the power of science and technology to sustainably feed the future.
