Elpi Petraki has been working in ENEA MANAGEMENT INC. for the last 24 years. ENEA MANAGEMENT INC. is a traditional shipping company of Greek interest that manages a fleet of small sized, clean and specialized tankers. Elpi has been involved in various parts of the company focusing on the operations and chartering of its fleet, as well as business development. Elpi is an active member of the shipping community and has an ongoing interest in learning and in being updated on latest developments in the industry and she also participates as speaker in conferences and is a contributor in shipping related magazines. In her capacity as the President of the Women in Shipping and Trade Association (WISTA) Hellas, she has as a continuous goal to encourage diversity and support the empowerment of women in all sectors of the shipping industry. Serving as the 2nd Vice President of the Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association (HSSA) she is involved in the promotion and the overall development of the short sea shipping within National and European borders. She is a member of the board of the Hellenic Maritime Museum, assisting in the preservation of the Maritime History. Elpi has studied Maritime Business and Maritime Law in Plymouth UK and holds a Masters’ degree in International Transport and Trade from Guildhall University UK.
