Violeta Spyropoulou, CFA is the President of the Board of Directors of CFA Society Greece, an association of local investment professionals and the official member of CFA Institute in Greece. CFA is the world’s largest association of investment professionals and an industry leader in promoting the highest educational, ethical and professional standards in the investment industry. She is investment manager of fiduciary accounts expert in Greek equities listed in Athens Stock Exchange with twenty-five years of experience in investment management and a well-poven track record consistently beating market returns. Violeta holds the position of Assistant Manager in Equities Division of Alpha Asset Management (member of Alpha Bank Group). Top-ranked in Extel Thomson Reuters International Survey among portfolio managers in Greece during the last seven years. Member of FTSE and Athens Stock Exchange Index Advisory Committee since 2013. Member in a working group supporting Hellenic Council on Corporate Governance drafting principles for the new code of Hellenic Corporate Governance and supporting initiatives that promote corporate governance best practices within the listed universe in Athens Stock Exchange. As a CFA charterholder she is acting in the best interests of her clients derived from her fiduciary duty while also pursuing investment knowledge, staying current with the latest industry trends through CFA Institute Professional Learning. Violeta is actively involved in organizing educational events, moderating panel discussions with distinguished speakers, and participating as a speaker with a focus on corporate governance and ESG issues. Violeta has also moderated the Delphi Economic Forum 2021 panel discussion event for CFA Society Greece with four prominent speakers with the topic: “Shaping a future worth investing in climate change and the need for sustainable finance”. Violeta holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charter, an MSc in “Project Analysis Finance and Investment” from the University of York, UK and a BSc in Mathematics from University of Patras, Greece.
