Judith Wallenstein is a Senior Partner & Managing Director in BCG's Munich office. She is the co-lead of BCG's Global Climate Moonshot and former Head of BCG's Regional Sustainability Practice. She also serves as BCG's Global CEO Advisory Practice Head • She has been with BCG for nearly 22 years, spending several years in Madrid and New York, and based out of BCG's Berlin & Paris offices for over a decade • Judith is a core member of the Health Care Practice and served as the Global BCG Lead for Launch Excellence in Biopharma Judith has led the rapid expansion of BCG's Sustainability Practice across Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East, developed sustainability partnerships in hard-to-abate industries and supported clients across industries on topics such as Total Societal Impact, overall ESG strategy and circular economy/net zero reduction, with a focus on the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. A selection of her relevant project experience includes the following: • Total Societal Impact strategy for a biopharma company • ESG and CO2 emissions reduction strategy and roadmap for a major life science player • Neto zero & bioderivatives roadmap definition for a major pharmaceuticals player At her biopharma clients, Judith has worked extensively in oncology, rare disease and vaccines. Her work spans Corporate Finance & Strategy work (carve-outs and divestitures, asset deals, integration), Clinical Development, commercial ops and therapeutic area strategy. In 2015, Judith was appointed a BCG Fellow • She has led research on the Sharing Economy and the Future of work in collaboration with the Harvard Business School's Future of Work project and the IMF • She has shared her research on the topic in various press articles and BCG white papers, a Harvard Business Review feature and a HBS study report Judith holds master's degrees in History, French and German literature/linguistics from Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich and graduated top of her class nationwide • She was a scholar of the German National Merit Foundation and received the Bavarian State Scholarship for highly talented students
