Konstantina Botsiou is Professor of History and International Relations at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus. She studied History and Archaeology at the University of Athens and holds a PhD from the University of Tübingen. She has served as lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the University of Athens and Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of the Peloponnese, where she also served as Vice Rector for Finance, Studies and Quality Assurance. She is a Visiting Professor at the Hellenic National Defense College and General Director of the Council for International Relations-Greece (CfIR). Her books include Greece’s Course to Europe (1999, in German); Europe between NATO and the EEC (2002); Parliamentary speeches (2010); The Balkans in the Cold War, co-ed. (2017/2019); 1821: from the Revolution to State Formation, co-ed.  (2021).
