Margarita Pournara

Margarita Pournara was born in Athens in 1971. She studied French Language and Literature in Athens and subsequently received an MA in Communications Policy from City University, London. In 2009, fully funded by a Fulbright Scholarship, she conducted research at Queens College in New York City.  She has been working as a journalist – on the radio, on TV, on newspapers, and online – since 1994. In 1999, she became a regular contributor to the Culture section of Greece’s most prestigious daily newspaper, Kathimerini, for which she now holds her own regular column. In recent years, she has been specializing in conducting live, regular interviews in front of audiences, for institutions as varied as the Bank of Greece (special series of cultural events) the bookstore Ianos, and Kathimerini.
