Aristotelia Peloni has been the Government Spokesperson of the Hellenic Republic since March 1, 2021. Previously, she served as the Alternate Government Spokesperson. Ms. Peloni started her career in journalism at Ta Nea daily, back in 1998. Having interviewed such distinguished personalities as Nobel prize winner Amartya Sen and novelists Philip Roth & Norman Mailer, she became a diplomatic correspondent, reporting on foreign policy and defence. Μs. Peloni joined Kathimerini newspaper as a political correspondent in 2016, reporting on New Democracy - then Greece’s main opposition party - and writing the daily column “Conclavios”, one of the paper’s most read. She is an alumna of the State Department’s IVLP Program and was a Marshall Memorial Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. Ms. Peloni graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a B.A. in Communications and obtained her MΑ in International Relations & PhD in US-Greece relations from Panteion University of Athens
