Nikos Drandakis is an entrepreneur, founder of Flyway and previously the founder of Beat (formerly known as Taxibeat), a leading mobile ride-hailing application. With a technical background and an entrepreneurial mindset, Nikos founded his first tech startup in the late ’90s, followed by many other projects. His first startup was suppline.com, a B2B marketplace helping businesses order their supplies online. Within two years, suppline.com was sold. In 2006, Nick launched sync.gr, a blog aggregator and social networking app for bloggers which was active until 2009. In 2011, Nikos along with three co-founders, launched Taxibeat. In February 2017, Taxibeat was acquired by Daimler AG subsidiary. Following the acquisition, Taxibeat was rebranded and is now known as “Beat”. The company is active in Athens, Greece; Lima, Perú; Santiago, Chile; and Bogotá, Colombia and serves almost a million rides per day.. Nikos served as the CEO at Beat until August 2020 when he left the company on an 800-employee scale and hundreds of millions in annual revenue. He is currently the co-founder and CEO of Flyway, a propetch company which is the smart way for anyone to own a luxury second home, on their budget.
