Nadia Giannakopoulou

Nadia Giannakopoulou was born in Athens in 1977. She graduated from the Athens Law School (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and holds an LLM in Commercial Law (University of Bristol) and an MSC in European Politics and Policy (LSE). She has been working as a lawyer since 2003. In 2009, she was elected MP for the Constituency of Messinia with the Greek Socialist Party (PASOK) for the first time and was re-elected in the May 2012 elections. She served as Secretary General for the Environment and Climate Change from August 2013 to December 2014 and as Deputy Media Spokesperson of the Greek Socialdemocratic Party KINIMA ALLAGIS (PASOK) from 2015 to 2019. In July 2019 she was elected MP for the B2 Electoral District of Athens (Western Section) with KINIMA ALLAGIS and she is the Head of the Justice Sector. She is a Member of the Permanent Committee of Public Administration, Public Order and Justice and also Vice President of the Special Committee of Equality, Youth and Human Rights. She is currently serving as the Party Spokesperson for KINIMA ALLAGIS. She is married with actor Maximos Moumouris and has three daughters.
