Mr. Karger is responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of Energy Transition Transactions in the DACH/CEE/SEE region and has led the market entry into several European countries. He has extensive expertise in structuring asset-backed funding solutions including receivables purchase programmes, bonds, leasing as well as equity and joint venture structures. Previous transactions headed by Mr. Karger concerned the financing of multiple Energy Efficiency and renewable energy technologies including smart metering, industrial waste-heat recovery facilities, street lighting and photovoltaics. He has been with SUSI Partners since 2015. Twelve years of relevant experience in M&A (energy & infrastructure sector), structured finance, renewable energy investments and private equity. He has contributed significantly to the investment success in the Energy Efficiency and credit platform to date. Prior to joining SUSI, he worked at UniCredit Corporate and Investment Banking (Mergers & Acquisitions), Oaklins (Corporate Finance Advisory) and a large Austrian asset manager investing >EUR 2 billion in renewable energy. Fabian holds a MSc in International Finance (Dist.) from the University of Leeds (United Kingdom) and a BSc in Business Administration from ZHAW School of Management & Law (Switzerland).
