Athina Dessypri was born in Greece in 1963. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business. Ms A. Dessypri is President of the Board of Trustees of Bodossaki Foundation. She has served as Secretary General and Member of the Board of Trustees of Bodossaki Foundation from December 2018 till June 2021. Previously, she has served at Eurobank for 21 years: the last 10 years as Group General Manager Human Resources, 7 years as Advisor to Management overseeing the bank’s major restructuring and reengineering projects, while previously she was heading Eurobank Securities, as she joined the bank in 1997 with the task to establish its stock broking house, where she remained as General Manager and member of the Board of Directors until 2001. Before (1990-1997), she was a founding member and Director of Sigma Securities – Head of Sales and Trading. From 1987 to 1990 she worked at Continental Bank in London as Assistant Director at the bank’s Mergers and Acquisition division. In parallel to her professional career, she has joined a number of NGOs on a voluntary basis; she has served at the Board and Committees of WWF Greece, also as Chair of the Board andhas recently rejoined as Vice Chair. In the past, she was President of the Βoard of INSEAD Alumni Association in Greece and member of the Βoard of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP).
