Mrs. Theodora Psaltopoulou is an Internist, Professor of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine in the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She was a student of undergraduate and doctoral studies in the Medical School of Athens, and specialized in Internal Medicine at the Therapeutic Clinic of the Hospital "Alexandra". She holds two postgraduate degrees, one in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH, Harvard, US), and the second in the Organization and Administration of Health Services from the University of Athens. She has also received the title Clinical Nutrition Specialists (US). Her teaching covers subjects of Internal Medicine, Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine to undergraduate and graduate students. She has participated in Greek and European research teams and was the main researcher in the World Cancer Research Fund International funded program (WCRF): "Recognizing the importance of diet, physical activity and weight in hematological malignancies through systematic reviews and meta-analyzes". Her research interests aim to study factors in preventive medicine, public health and post-epidemiology; she has published over 160 papers in international scientific journals (pubmed) with thousands of references. He is a member of editorial boards and a reviewer in numerous international scientific journals, as well as a member is scientific commitees. She is married and has 4 children.
