John invented the iTransplantSM Donation-Transplant Software Platform - the most adopted software of its kind in the world and winner of the prestigious Microsoft Life Sciences Innovation Award. John was also named the Better Man, Better World by GQ Magazine for his humanitarian efforts increase lives saved and through donation and transplantation. An international speaker on innovation in donation and transplantation (including at ESOT, ISODP, DTI/TPM, to name a few), John's commitment to innovating the field continues 18+ years later, as Transplant Connect continues to expand the reach of its iTransplant Platform around the world. Every region where iTransplant has been launched has achieved substantial increases in donation and transplantation, typically within 12-24 months. John is also the inventor of iReferralSM – the world’s only truly automated donor identification and referral technology in which potential organ and tissue donors are identified immediately through algorithmic triggers and then instantly and securely communicated to the appropriate organ donation organization, eliminating the delay, waste and inefficiency of manual/phone-based donor referrals.
