Born in 1950. Graduate from Athens University - School of Economics (POE). He worked at the family shipping business “Thenamaris” from 1968 to 1990. In 1991 he established in Glyfada his own shipping company “Eastern Mediterranean Maritime Limited (Eastmed). Archon of the Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople - Archon of the Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria, Egypt - Governor of Mount Athos. He is married to Marina and they have two daughters and two grandchildren. They both support social benevolent causes mainly in Greece through their family foundations "AIGEAS NON-PROFIT CIVIL COMPANY” and “THE THANASSIS AND MARINA MARTINOS FOUNDATION'.
