Georgios Didaskalou was born in Nafplion, Greece in 1972. He earned his diploma degree in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and obtained a PhD from the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He also holds two master’s degrees: one from the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens; the other from the School of Economics and Management at the University of the Peloponnese. Since July 2019, he has held the position of the Secretary General of Culture at the Ministry of Culture and Sports. Georgios Didaskalou has authored a large number of research articles related to his academic field and has been invited to speak at conferences and educational programmes in Greece and abroad. He has participated in several scientific committees and working groups, including the Technical Chamber of Greece in the area of the Peloponnese and the Institute of Local Government.
