Professor of Psychiatry, Medical School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Head of the Social Psychiatry Unit of University Mental Health, Neurosciences and Precision Medicine Research Institute “Costas Stefanis” (U.M.H.R.I.). Her clinical work mainly concerns the delivery of psychiatric and psychotherapeutic interventions targeting both the patient and the family, with a primary clinical interest in psychoeducational techniques and consultation. Research activity addresses the investigation of the family’s role, social stigma and the impact of crises (economic crisis, pandemic) on mental health which is reflected in more than 300 International and Greek publications in scientific journals and books. Teaching experience includes more than 1,000 hours of education at undergraduate and postgraduate level with 1,000 additional hours as an invited speaker in workshops, seminars, webinars, conferences, and congresses. The organizational work includes the organization and development of psychiatric programs and services.
