Sophia Eftychiadou works as Artistic Director’s Advisor at the National Theatre of Greece. She has collaborated as a Dramaturg with major theatre institutions, showing work at the Athens Festival, the National Theatre of Greece, the Onassis Cultural Center, the National Theatre of Northern Greece, Piramatiki Skini tis ‘Technis’, the Municipal and Regional Theatres of Kozani and Ioannina. She was Artistic director for Theatre at Dimitria Festival (48th edition) and has also worked as a Theatre Critic and Podcast creator at elculture.gr. Her special interest in gender issues was reflected in her work as Editor in Chief in ‘Epikindynes’, a docuseries produced by ERT focusing on aspects of gender equality. She holds a BA in Theatre (Drama Department, School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and an MA in Cultural management (Department of Arts Policy and Management, City University London). She believes in theatre as a place of wonders.
