Elpida Kokkota is the Founder & CEO of Mexoxo, a global non-profit organization that supports the economic empowerment of women in more than 16 countries through the use of technology. Elpida as a social innovator, with 17 years of international experience in social impact strategies, has created a circle of impact with more than 250 global stakeholders from Corporations, Academia, Government, and local NGOs who are part of her mission to empower 5 million women by 2030. Expert in driving measurable growth through human-centric strategies that support communities' socio-economic growth at large has achieved to economically empower 7000+ women directly and 28,000+ indirectly. She holds an MBA degree from Hult International Business School in Boston, a bachelor's in International Organizations and Relations from the University of Aegean, and an Executive Certification from MIT. Elpida was nominated by Greece for the UNESCO World Prize "Prize for Girls' & Women's Education and has received the Greek International Women Awards. In 2015 she pledged a commitment to the Clinton Global Initiative and she was honored to be an official speaker at the celebration event of the 70 years United Nations in San Diego, California, along with Theodore Roosevelt. She counts years of volunteer work in several organizations, is an ally to LGBTQI+ communities, speaks 4 languages, loves traveling and her dogs, and has lived in the United States, Mexico, and Greece.
