Panagiotis Korkolis

Born in the city of Athens (Greece) in 1971. He studied Rural and Surveying Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and holds a MSc in “Environmental Design of Infrastructure” from the Hellenic Open University. He worked as senior officer or project manager to both public and private entities studying, implementing, managing mega projects co-financed by EU Structural Funds such as the National Greek Cadastre, Egnatia Motorway, Athens and Salonika Metro railway systems, PPP Greek Motorways. From September 2015 to July 2019, he served as General Secretary for Public Investment Budget & EU Structural Funds at the Greek Ministry of Economy and Development. He was responsible for the design, management, and implementation of the EU cohesion policy in Greece through the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) and coordinated all Governmental Services involved in projects financed by European Investment Bank, European Investment Fund and Juncker Plan. He served as Head of Greek Delegation at several EU conferences concerning Social and Territorial Convergence and Cohesion Policy, as Senior Member of the Greek Delegation in EU consultations and negotiations concerning the Multi Annual Financing Framework 2021-2027 in the field of Cohesion Policy, and as Senior Member of the Greek technical team negotiating and implementing the 3rd memorandum of understanding between the Greek Authorities and the European Institutions. He also served as President of the Investment Boards governing new Financing Instruments under EU Programming Period 2014-2020: Equity Fund of Funds “Equifund”, Infrastructure Fund and Risk Sharing Fund “TEPIX II”.
