Fatmir Bytyqi was born on October 26, 1975. He graduated in Business Administration, Department of Business Management at the University of Tirana, Albania (1994-1999). Bytyqi is an international expert in the field of managing economic processes and reforms with over 20 years of experience in over 100 different programs and projects aimed at developing sectors, state institutions, chambers of commerce and companies. He has conducted over 500 trainings in the Western Balkans and has so far been professionally engaged as a consultant and advisor in several governments, ministries and institutions in the region. Since 2008 he has been actively involved as an expert on access to and management of EU funds and is considered one of the leading professionals in this field in the region. His narrow specialty is Strategic Planning and Management of Development, Economic and Business Programmes and he is considered an excellent connoisseur of business opportunities with many years of experience in the real sector as an entrepreneur, consultant and executive manager. Bytyqi is author of several strategies, bills, manuals and guidelines in the field of finance, economics and business development. In April 2018 Fatmir Bytyqi has been engaged as a special advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia for conducting research and analysis on policies, strategies and topics related to the economy as well as preparing professional opinions, comments and recommendations. He is a member of the Government's Economic Council and part of the Council for Economic Reform and Sustainable Development, responsible for improving policies in the business environment. He has been the President of the Finance Committee in SDSM Since August 2019. Bytyqi actively speaks five languages: Macedonian, Albanian, English, German and Serbian/Croatian.
