Professor, Geological and Environmental Oceanography, Department of Geology, University of Patras, GreeceGeorge Papatheodorou is a Professor of Geological and Environmental Oceanography in the Geology Department of the University of Patras and Dean of the School of Natural Sciences. His research interests cover a wide range of topics: marine pollution (benthic, floating and beach stranded marine litter, heavy metals and natural radionuclides in sediments), seabed fluid flows, submarine active faults and gravitative mass movement processes, and marine geoarchaeology of important submerged archaeological sites of eastern Mediterranean Sea. He has coordinated many national, international and EU-funded research projects. He has authored over 120 publications in International Refereed Journals and over 100 full papers in International Conferences with an h-index: 32-38 and over 4500 citations.
