George Mouroutis is the major shareholder and CEO of Athens Bookstore Publications which, among other things, holds the publishing rights of Barack and Michelle Obama for Greece and Cyprus. He also runs the popular news website ThePresident.gr and provides daily political commentary on Action 24 TV station. In the past, he has worked in managerial positions in the field of communication, having in his field of responsibility several leading multinational and Greek companies and institutions. He has served as the Director of the press office of a former Greek Prime Minister, he was a member of the organizing committee for the opening ceremony of the Acropolis Museum, member of the committee for the branding of Greece, press director, and political campaign manager of the New Democracy Party and member of the Board of Directors of OPAP S.A. He is also a member of the Association of Greek Publishers and Booksellers.
